Our business started with a passion for baking and a dream many years ago. Pamela started baking as a child when she and her brothers took turns baking weekly cakes for Sunday tea. That passion for baking never left and for many years Pamela just baked for family and friends. After many years in the glass industry Pamela's husband was looking for a change. Pamela and John decided to renovate a building on their property into a cookie kitchen. With John's training as an industrial engineer in the glass business it didn't take long for Pamela to teach him how to bake. In April 2016 Barlow Bakes was launched! Where does Barlow come from? It's Pamela's maiden name.
To get the best cookies you need to bake with high quality ingredients. All of our cookies are made in small batches, just like you would at home. When ordering allow a couple of days for us to bake your order.
We live about an hour outside of Pittsburgh, PA on 7 acres of property. The local VoTech built a small efficiency apartment above a single garage as a final project for students. That apartment is what we converted into our cookie kitchen. We are inspected by PA Department of Agriculture. A short commute to work!
